Trump just committed another impeachable offense.

He is now saying it is OK that he was making a business deal with Russia. During the campaign Trump said over and over again to the American people he had no business ties to Russia. Lying to the American people is an impeachable offense. Keep on digging Trump, you fucking asshole.

How much sooner would this information have come tumbling out if the Republican-controlled Congress had been doing its duty on oversight? Instead, they were assiduously attending to overlooking everything they could.

Cohen told congress that all efforts to pursue building a Trump property in Russia ended well before the Iowa caucuses. But now Cohen says that efforts continued through 2016 and into 2017. Depending on the date, that would mean pursuing the property AFTER Trump was swown in, in Jan 2017.

That would mean violating the emoluments clause.

It also probably means violating campaign rules about reporting. Not certain about this one.

But more importantly, it shows a complete lack of integrity and lying to voters.

I think they supported Trump hoping to save the midterms. Having failed, I think they would be ok with Trump sinking, but they won't criticize him until and if it becomes politically expedient.

The emoluments clause. There is already a lawsuit in the system for this and he just handed a confession in.

Cheetolini has done a lot of reprehensible things, and if the Mueller investigation winds up implicating him in even a fraction of what is suspected thus far, those are impeachable offenses.

Let's not lower the bar to such silly levels, please. It does the DU no good to vent this type of hyperbole.
