who is no water-carrier. Haberman and others were just reporting what Trump's lawyers claimed; they were not making the claim themselves. And anyhow, if it's really true that Trump's statements were consistent with Cohen's, but Trump says Cohen is lying, doesn't that mean Trump is lying too?

Maggie hasn’t challenged a thing his lawyers have said.

She’s just making news of Trump’s lawyer’s talking points.

Let’s see the answer to the questions then... that’s the obvious follow up.

This is Trump’s lawyers saying Trump’s answers match with Cohen’s confession. That is not news, it’s a statement. And unless the reporter follow’s up with “Let’s see what you gave Mueller” then it’s not reporting.
