6. If Trump had no expectation of winning* or even a desire to win*...

...then he couldn't have lifted sanctions or done anything else in return for Russia not revealing how he was compromised. Did Russia somehow know for a fact that Trump would be "installed," to use Rachel's word? I'm one who is quite skeptical about actual vote flipping. Was Russia just hoping, with the help of their social media campaign, that Trump would win? And if he hadn't been "installed," then what?

My guess is that Putin had/has multiple resources and nurtured assets, he's been playing a long game, going back decades.

Certainly McConnell and his other hapless (coff Nunes coff) cohorts are soundly kompromised.

And as we know, our country isn't the only target.

We are just so damn afflicted by Fox Network's hold over such a chunk of our society. It seems so fucking hopeless.
