Harris To Decide On 2020 WH Bid "Over The Holiday"

Harris says she’ll make 2020 decision “Over the holiday.”

Look for several Dems to potentially get in early to maximize time for fundraising in 1st Quarter.

Need to post big number since the ante for the 1st tier could be $50 million+ raised in 2019.

She doesn't have the gravitas...she's too cute and over the top. Nothing to do with her racial heritage...which is likely a plus. President? No, can't imagine it.

Seems sexist. Brett Kavanaugh didn't seem to think she was "too cute" when he was stammering all over himself like a scared teenager that came home late in response to her questioning.

I like him, but think he's not experienced enough...yet. He has the gravitas Harris does not have, he lacks the experience she does have.

I'm referencing the bizarre extremes I see on DU.

You really think HE has gravitas but SHE doesn't? What about Beto specifically exudes the gravitas that Harris lacks?

What exactly has she said or done that makes you think she's "full of herself?"

Perhaps she should walk around onstage in rumpled clothing bellowing "I'm so F#CKING PROUD of you guys!" in order to be taken seriously?

And yes, I'm quite fine, thank you.

What exactly makes you think that Beto has gravitas but Harris doesn't - and what precisely has she done or said that makes her come across to you as "full of herself"?

For example, 'Too cute', 'no gravitas', and a host of others which never seem to provide objective evidence to support them.

Carry on, part II.

Apparently, you think this discussion board is simply a venue for you to express your view, but not to have it responded to, or God forbid, challenged.

But when you post comments like you have in this thread, you can fully expect to get called on them - if you can't handle that, perhaps it is you who should "give it a rest "

FYI - referring to an accomplished, confident, eloquent, intelligent black woman - a U.S. senator, no less - as "lacking gravitas" and "full of herself" is dangerously close to, if not the outright equivalent of, calling her "uppity." And on that you can surely expect to get a "wait-what?"

Like calling a candidate for president cute or "cutesy" because she's a woman, it doesn't make it any less so if you say "well thats just my opinion."
