Ain't linking to MoDo's farewell to Poppy - it's more like her farewell to herself (thank gudness!1

I read her whole thing about how she and Poppy had this love/hate tenderness for decades, including about how Poppy and Babs hated how mean she was to Shrub yadda yadda.

Her main proletarian point was how she is of Irish menial maid stock, the ones who tended the blue bloods and how it was such a rush for her to have become a NYT whatever over Poppy blah blah blah.

Yeah, the image of her sitting cross-legged at 6 A.M. observing Poppy on his golf course is creepily creepy.

I got nothing more for this.

*********ON EDIT: I forgot my main zingers::

* She came off sounding like she was Chico and the Man or Driving Miss Daisy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Seriously - it would be nice to include enough context so that the post is accessible to anyone interested in understanding what is being discussed.

I just did a half-dozen searches to figure it out who you were talking about and came up with bupkus.

1) "MoDo" is an old meme, "cryptic" not being the default.
2) Sincere inquiries are sincerely responded to by most.
3) History between contestants is a clue.

I read the OP. The process I use in deciding which threads to dive into isn't really relevant.

I've been here since the early 2000s, and I've never seen that particular abbreviation before.

No idea about the history between the contestants - I just came back to the OP after doing a quick search for MoDo and came up empty. So I scanned the thread - ran into this subthread, which expressed my current frustration with the second posts in this current scan that was written by someone who apparently fun to be cryptic or can't be bothered to write enough so that the post is clear without doing additional research.

which seem to suggest you were treating the confusion you created as a game.

The issue is OPs which appear to be intentionally written to be cryptic, and when asked for clarificaiton, generate derision directed at the person who happens not to be a mind reader.

Why not just write OPs that are accessble to everyone?

I've actually been here since 2001, although originally under a different screen name.

So I think my asking to explain a cryptic abbreviation is appropriate. Honestly, it really does help to express things so that all of us can understand whatever you are referring to.
