A strange, soothing calm has overtaken me

I used to feel angry and outraged over Mitt's tax shenanigans and lying. But lately all that negativity is gone because the issue is in the news daily (heck, hourly) and he is seriously squirming and twisting. Knowing that I sleep fine at night but that he's probably not, has done wonders for my inner tranquility. You?

Taxes are a very dull topic to me, makes me sleepy to just think about it. I know the guy is mega-rich and has a team of high priced tax specialists to finagle the system, that is a given.

I'm sorta relaxed as well. It's rough living in a red state with all the hatred, but I am relieved that there's more of you blue staters to take up the slack for these mouthbreathers down here.

My friend from childhood moved to South Carolina after she got married out of college, and her RW husband's influence has completely transformed her into an evangelical freak. Needless to say, we never discuss politics - she has many, many good qualities I can't overlook.

for old Ayn Rand videos I hadn't previously seen being resurrected - it's soothing to know her wrong-headed, psychopathic self is long gone into the dustbin of history. And that Ryan will soon be joining her. (Not wishing him dead, understand....just gone.)
