Treat yourself to Michelle Obama's book. It's a gem.

If you haven't yet read Michelle Obama's book, "Becoming," put it on your "must do" list.

I don't want to tell you much, because you've got to enjoy it for yourself. But she relates something incredible about Barack Obama that we, (or at least I), didn't know.

No matter where they lived, he always had his own den, stacked with books and newspapers strewn all over the place. (Michelle is a "neat freak." Barack doesn't come close.) She said that he'd often be going through six different books at the same time.

It's impossible to read this without thinking of Trump and his "birther" poison. Barack Obama was one of the most intelligent, (and totally cool), presidents to ever inhabit the White House. It seems ironic that a criminal, know-nothing, gross, greedy buffoon has replaced a brilliant, dedicated, caring class act in the Oval Office. There's a sickness in today's America.

Nonetheless, give yourself a treat. Go to the library, or Amazon, or wherever you get books, and get yourself a copy of Michelle's book in which she shares with us the lives of two extraordinary people. And keep in mind it would make a great holiday gift to someone who would appreciate it.

I didn't think I could love her and respect her more than I already did, but somehow my esteem grew with every chapter.
