Special Counsel Robert Muellers sentencing memo for Michael Flynn should give pause to members of Trumps inner circle especially the presidents son-in-law and senior White House adviser, Jared Kushner, Tim OBrien writes.
Muellers memo noted that federal investigators curiosity about Flynns role in the presidential transition seemed to have been sparked by a Washington Post account of a conversation he had with Russias ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak
But the meat of what should worry Team Trump is in Muellers disclosure that Flynn has provided firsthand information about interactions between the transition team and Russian government officials.
The timeline around Flynns conversations is crucial because it shows whats still in play for the president and Kushner
Kushners actions are also interesting because the Federal Bureau of Investigation has examined his own communications with Kislyak and Kushner reportedly encouraged Trump to fire his FBI director, James Comey, last spring when Comey was still in the early stages of digging into the Trump-Russia connection.

(86,775 posts)And I think the Pence issue comes with the Manafort filing and the kids when Cohen's comes up. It's a big, ugly-demon-nightmare-cabal-from-hell and I hope they all lose all their assets and end up in prison with no federal benefits.

(86,775 posts)I can't imagine that they aren't all going to be exposed in due time. I hope that the big reveal comes early in January. There's just so much there there that I think most of our speculations are somewhat correct. I'm thinking their's still the RICO element and then a big, fat espionage element that has some really dirty stuff in it.
As an aside, sort of, I'm getting the feeling that the Epstein issue will reveal what Eric and Jr. have really been up to aside from the real estate crimes, I think the money laundering has a human trafficking element to it. Think about the beauty pageants and the child stealing at the border and the "deal" Epstein got and the settlement from yesterday. They don't want that exposed and neither do folks like Lindsey Graham. I think there's a bunch of there there on that front.
