?1544029698Peace on Earth?: Dedham church uses nativity scene to spark conversation about immigration
Peace on Earth?
Thats the question displayed above a nativity scene in Dedham that features the baby Jesus inside a black metal cage and the three wise men cut off from Mary and Joseph by a fence-like barrier.
The unconventional holiday arrangement outside of St. Susanna Parish was set up over the weekend to mark the start of Advent Sunday.

Personally, I tip my hat to the Church leaders who approved the display (I'm assuming they approved). What better way to remind people that the way refugees are being treated, how children have been locked in cages has nothing remotely to do with the Christmas message.
Baby Jesus in a cage. Bite on that Evangelicals!

Public community discourse -- inside or outside the church -- will do everyone a lot of good.
