Bill Maher and his list of criteria for authoritarian governments. . .

Often Bill goes down his list of criteria that authoritarian governments have in common . . . I think he says the only one we are missing is the big military parades.

Another item for the list occurred to me the other day and that is the ability of the judicial system to put the rich and/or powerful in prison. Our judicial system doesn't seem to have the ability any more to put rich/powerful people in prison.
