then if Pence is also indicted there won't be time for a new Veep to be appointed & Pelosi, not Ryan will be the next president.

I can almost hear the right wing heads exploding.

who knows if they'd ever confirm someone Pelosi wanted? But at least the new Speaker (and 2nd in line) would be a Democrat.

3. I dont believ Trump will resign

Clinton's impeachment was a snow job. Nixon, for all his faults did care about the office and the country. Nixon just never thought he would be compromised. Trump doesnt care about the country or the office. As for not believing he would be compromised, I don't believe he views his actions as wrong. If it benefits him personally then everything else is secondary

4. Nixon "cared about the country"
Fri Dec 7, 2018, 10:51 PM
Dec 2018

except for that time he committed treason by sabotaging the Paris Peace talks thus extending the Vietnam War and killing thousands more Americans & Vietnamese.

Just because we've never seen anything as awful as Trump doesn't mean we have to pretend Nixon, Reagan, and both Bushes weren't so bad after all. It was those 4 that helped pave the way for someone like Trump.

6. Nixon had to resign....

He was fucked if he didn't. The evidence against him was too compelling regarding his part in the Watergate coverup.

7. But by resigning & Ford pardoning him "For the good of the country".

he got away with his crimes (and the Watergate cover up was the least of them). And by the time he died he had been "rehabilitated".

I hope no one decides it's for "the good of the country" to let Trump off.
