If anyone is expecting business as usual they're fools - he will be charged with multiple serious crimes against the US (as a citizen and as president).

No other president has done what he's done so there's no legal precedent to follow. He very well could do jail time.

2. I cannot imagine a US President being sent to

prison. I will bet no matter WHO succeeds him, he will be pardoned. No one wants to see a US President in handcuffs. I imagine he’ll go through the full trial(s), stripped of assets, convicted - and then pardoned. The truth will be known, he’ll have lost everything, at least one kid in jail, empire in ruins - and live out his few remaining days in ignominy.

the crimes he's obviously committed, I don't hold out much hope that he (or his children) will. My SWAG is the whole criminal family will be pardoned, possibly if certain conditions are/will be met.

For me a more realistic hope is that everything they've done illegally and to harm this country become so obvious that all but the craziest of certifiably crazy Cult45ers turns their back on them and that they all become so financially ruined and personally ostracized that they're forced to move to some tiny foreign country where they will live out their lives in total obscurity.

11. Trump in jail or prison is simply a fantasy of the Left, the ultimate wet dream.

It's nice to indulge in fantasies as long as you are in touch with reality as well.
If Trump were to go to prison, does anyone actually believe that his tens of millions of followers and rabid supporter, some clearly not stable, are simply going to roll over and go away? There would be protests, riots, violence by people who have lots of guns and will use them.
How many people would be hurt and die just so we could have our revenge on Trump? Somebodies smarter than any of us will realize this is not worth ripping the country apart and probably Trump would at least be allowed to leave the country and maybe lose a lot of his wealth.
His kids and others around him would not be so lucky.
