We knew a counterintelligence investigation was opened in June/July 2016. We knew that Carter Page and likely Manafort were the subjects of FISA warrants. We knew that Trump was not a target *at that time*.

For the first time, I believe, he seems to confirm that the letter he got was fake -- the letter that caused him to go public on Hillary in summer 2016, which locked him into going public again in Oct. I should post this in a new thread
