"Their" absentee ballot program?

Why is it that absentee ballots are being collected by anyone who is not an election official?

AND

In a hotly contested election, why would anyone turn over their ballot to anyone other than election official?

Unless they were posing as election officials? Was this an area hard hit by a hurricane?

And it’s legal in a number of states, including California. They recently passed a law allowing anyone to drop off a ballot, arguing that it lowers obstacles to voting. The California Democratic Party was very aggressive in using harvesting during the past election.

are poor and rural places with large minority populations in south central part of NC. I can see intimidation and slick talking campaigners duping the poor elderly population into the hands of the GOP. Makes me sick!

Someone else requested them, then had a list of who they requested them for, then went to those persons and took them from them claiming to be officials, and filled them out themselves.

it is not as simple as just someone going and picking up a completed absentee ballot.
