60 Vote rule

I had a Trumper go off on me saying the media is ignoring the fact that trumpf is correct when he told Pelosi that he needed 60 votes in the Senate. This is regarding today's slugfest at the Whitehouse. I thought that the rethugs threw that rule out the window.

Need a civics lesson here regarding this rule.
Either now during a lame duck session of the house or after Jan. 3rd can they get wall funding passed?
Or is the idiot correct? Please tell me no.

the majority you should be able to woo some support from the opposition. The 'greatest deal maker that ever lived' should be able to deliver on that. Shove that up that trumpers ass, or his trumpass for short.

However, he also needs a majority in the house. Per Nancy, he does it have that support.

4. 60 votes for for cloture (ending debate and bringing the thing up for a final vote) still holds

for legislation. But the Senate votes on things other than legislation.

What has been eliminated, which is probably what you are recalling, is needing a supermajority (recently was 60 votes) for cloture on nominations which require Senate approval. So all those unqualified judges and rapey boofing justices are getting confirmed with simple majority cloture votes.

because of cloture rules, but given that fact, he also was pointedly failing to negotiate. He wanted their votes but offered nothing in return. What kind of deal is that?
