I think it was a mistake.
We don't need to sink to his level to nail this fool.
It accomplishes nothing and actually may hinder progress getting legislation passed. It's a juvenile distraction in my opinion.
Not sure why she did it but it's the headliner on CNN right now.

She goosed a pig, and didn't get dirty doing it.
And now Trump personally owns any potential shutdown.

(14,998 posts)you'd think they'd blabber about that too.
I think any criticism of anything Pelosi or other Dems say about Trump is pretty ephemeral -- because he's ALWAYS already said worse things so the pearl clutching seems disingenuous and doesn't have staying power. They're just filling air time and farming clicks, as soon as Cohen gets sentenced they'll drop it like a hot potato and play with their new toy instead.

(52,317 posts)the only thing that's becoming law in the next two years is must-pass stuff like basic appropriations. that'll be a challenge anyway, and a tiny amount of snark from any democrat is going to be just a blip in the scheme of things, especially compared to the daily torrent of immaturity and incompetence coming from the oval office.

(14,327 posts)But we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard, if only to remind people of what standards are.
In fairness to Pelosi, this was a comment made in private to members of her own party ... one of whom leaked it.
Our side ate it up, but it does give the Republicans ammo. They now have something to be outraged about about that distracts people from the televised meeting which so embarrassed Trump. Pelosis performance there was masterful, but this comment detracted from it, IMO.

(26,060 posts)NOT when they continue to wrap their arms around a whoremongering degenerate who makes up retarded nick names and treats everyone like dirt. The time to be polite and "above it all" are long over. I hope she kicks him in the nuts next time.

(901 posts)Amen to that! I'm sick of taking the higher ground. It's fucking cold and windy up there and we're living in a world where 40% of the...people...in this country are a threat to national security, unity, and dignity. I'm done talking to them; I want them gone - by any means necessary.
Polite and above it all? Fuck that!

(28,272 posts)Nope, I'm not buying it. (Actually, I haven't bought it for years, now).
We've got a president with the emotional and intellectual development of a spoiled 8-year old, and his goon following admires him for it. The only problem with a "juvenile distraction" is that it might be too advanced for him and his herd.
More power to Pelosi for attacking trump in the one area that has to really wound him. It's way past time to take the gloves off, retire the good-conduct rules, and get this cancerous growth out of office. Encore, Madam Speaker.

You cannot play nice with that punk.
On Edit: I just read what Nancy actually said. She was OBVIOUSLY referring to his immaturity as a person. It was not an insult to his "manhood" in the connotative sense.

(102,358 posts)He is deadly terrified of women that attack him on his vulnerabilities. Ever see him really go after Stormy Daniels? No. Her lawyer, yes, but Daniels--even after she described in far less than glowing terms his "junk" and prowess?
Trump is afraid to attack those who fight back and who hold some considerable power themselves.
Do, I want this to be a "thing" with Pelosi or others when dealing with Trump? No. But if it set him back on his heels, I don't think that was necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I wonder if a psychologist might not have recommended she do so.

(16,887 posts)For starters this was reported 2nd hand that she said this - privately. She did not say this publicly. What she said is in fact true and honestly, I say and think far worse things about Trump daily as I am sure many do - and its all true when said about Trump.
Trump is a waste of oxygen and the lowest of life forms in my opinion. He is evil and a threat to this planet and humanity. Every day this Plague called Donald J Trump threatens and insults people and is a danger to us all and our safety.
I think there was nothing wrong in Nancy Pelosi stating this about him (privately or publicly) and if it butt hurts the ego of the biggest ego maniac of all time, good on her and for all of us.
And its the truth
