Equally scary: I dont see any upside for congressional Republicans voting with Democrats to override a Trump veto.
Well, there is that minor issue of well-being of the country and the American people.

Certainly, if there is a shutdown, Dems need to be front and center everywhere making sure people really do understand who caused it and why.

(9,895 posts)Trump is a literal boil on the ass of humanity and the GOP are the fetid pus from that boil. They are equal parts disgusting and pathetic and criminal.
This nation needs a reckoning...it must confront its racial past, atone and move ahead, but as long as the GOP continues to see electoral successes like 2010, 2014, 2016 and is allowed to saunter around in a fantasy that 2018 was not an utter repudiation and Blue Wave, then we remain locked in place and spinning our wheels...
If it takes another round of pointless government shut down and economic pain at the holidays to put this albatross around their necks, then it appears we are heading that way now...
