Mr. Ken Suzuki Co-Founded SmartNews, Inc. in 2012. and serves as its Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Suzuki has been Director of SmartNews, Inc in 2012. Mr. Suzuki is responsible for business and corporate operations, as well as product vision and strategy at SmartNews. In 2009, he received a Ph.D. in complex systems from the University of Tokyo, where as a project researcher, he continue to study complex systems and the future of the Internet.
Mr. Kaisei Hamamoto
Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kaisei Hamamoto is the Co-Founder of SmartNews, Inc., and serves as its Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hamamoto created a number of web applications as side projects. One of them, Blogopolis - a visualization of the Japanese blogosphere - won the first prize in the 2009 Yahoo! Japan Internet Creative Award competition. He developed SmartNews’s client-side user interface and server-side news discovery algorithm from scratch. His main interest is in visualizing and organizing large amounts of information to help people better understand the world.

Mr. Atsuo Fujimura

Mr. Atsuo Fujimura has been a Senior Vice President of Media Business Development at SmartNews, Inc. since 2013. Mr. Fujimura is responsible for negotiating with many media partners. He founded Atmark IT in 2000. He served as an Editor-in-chief at monthly magazine at ASCII Corp. (now KADOKAWA Corp.), and head of marketing at Lotus Corp. (now IBM Japan, Ltd.) in the 1990s. He served as the Chairman and representative director of ITmedia Inc. He graduated from Hosei University in 1978 with undergraduate study in economics.
