Being discussed now on 11th Hour.
The legal order around the dissolution of the Trump Foundation holds that Trump and his three eldest spawn are banned from acting in any charitable organization in New York. That includes any presidential library they may have thought about.
Awwwwww. Poooooooor Put-upon Grifters.

(33,643 posts)Either that, or 'banned' ...
Just sayin'.
Anyways, I doubt anyone in NY State wants his eventual 'Library' to be located in their State ...
It's classic he'll be disallowed from even having one in a certain State though, esp. since it's his 'Home State' ...
He'll probably pawn it off on NJ in the end ... if there ever even is one.

(115,683 posts)I know all presidents have them (or had them), but what would be in Trump's, besides magazines with his picture on them, remaindered copies of The Art of the Deal, and court files?

(50,557 posts)In reality, a "presidential library" is a presidential museum. Trump should have one, but the contents of it should be selected by Democrats. That way it'll be fun...it'll be a cross between Graceland and a true-crime museum.

(40,209 posts)It should read:
neither Trump nor his three eldest spawn are allowed.
Or it could say
Trump and his three eldest spawn are banned.

(15,139 posts)will be copies of his ghost written books for sale in the giftshops of his properties. A collection of his Tweets hardly qualifies as Presidential papers, and there would be nothing to display other than perhaps his cell phone and golf clubs. Replicas of Melania's "I don't care" jacket would also be a natural for the giftshops, along with bedazzler "Be Best" t-shirts. Even if he's behind bars, Trump will, no doubt, still be actively trying to fleece the public.

(46,088 posts)more than the rest of them. It's not the money with her. It's the status and visibility.
It's also the social and societal thing, esp. in New York City. You're "High Society" when you serve on a board. It's more or less like serving on a Board of Directors in a corporation. You get invited to galas, parties and people who don't like you are forced to be nice to you.
Now, Ivanka has plans to return to NYC and resume her social-climbing life post-White House. If she's banned from serving for seven or more years on any charitable board, that has an impact that she will strongly feel.
Her worthless brothers, not so much.
