Putin invades Ukraine, Trump declares a national emergency and makes a giant power grab.

I am not predicting this will happen. Does anyone here believe something like this could not happen?

When a president declares a national emergency he gains access to over 100 special provisions that he alone controls. Congress, the courts can only act after the fact. Trump could cause great damage with this power. In the hands of a lunatic, some, not all, of these provisions are down right scary.

The American people for the most part have ignored the most dangerous fact about Trump. He is a text book narcissist, the worst kind. They are capable of committing great evil when they are cornered. We now have Trump and his children cornered.

We know Trump and Putin are working together. We know Putin wants to keep Trump in power. What are they planning?

The Republican party has made a catastrophic mistake. It could destroy them. They have protected, covered up a criminal conspiracy with our enemy. They have protected a traitor.

Before this is over the American people may be taught a severe lesson. You don't vote for the presidency like your voting for fucking American idle. Voting for president is a matter of life and death.

There are probably a few hundred people involved in actually invoking much of that power. Just about any one of them could cause mischief that would bring the whole thing to a halt. State AG's could be in court in a few hours getting injunctions left and right.

There is a reason right-wing authoritarians can't drop to their knees fast enough for the police and military.

The opposition to Trump has gotten too strong. A successful, smart leader could pull something like that off. Not this one.
