My mom was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico
My dad was born in Colorado and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico.
I was born an raised in Northwest Indiana part of what is called Chicagoland.

I currently live in San Diego, and the part of Rep. Gutierrez statement that I can relate to, was when a member of the administration met with the Hispanic caucus and said that Hispanics would not assimilate.

I had a co-worker once say that to me.
Her question was literally "Why don't Hispanics assimilate?"
I asked, what she meant by that comment? She replied that we don't learn the English language.
They want everything written in Spanish as well instead of learning English.

So I asked her, "Do you know in what language the California Constitution is written?"
Her response, obviously was English
I said you're half right. The California Constitution was written in both English and Spanish,
because both were the official language of California.

Then I asked, why didn't white Americans assimilate when General Hayward ran roughshod over California,
trying to get rid of non-whites (Native Americans & Hispanics) along the way?

She couldn't answer the question

I asked her to please not talk to me about what she doesn't know.

After Guitierrez' impassioned speech, any person with the tiniest shred of humanity or decency would have shown some sign of shame or remorse. The fact that Nielsen did not but instead showed only a flat affect is a dead giveaway that she is a psychopath, and her subsequent lies only confirm that fact. This is an administration rife with psychopaths and criminals.
