So what will be the seemingly benevolent charity that GoFundMe donors are diverted to...

...once it becomes obvious you can’t actually crowdfund a border wall?

My guess is that it will be:

1. Something obscure and not a familiar long established charity
2. Superficially related to veterans (as the public face behind this GFM is in fact a veteran)
3. Somehow be closely associated with a PAC that can spend money on campaign donations

This all seems to be a blatant money laundering scheme.

I think GFM just refunds donations when a GFM is canceled. Takket Dec 2018 #1

....while still keeping their account open and changing the purpose of the cause and those who wish to maintain their donations are allowed to do so?

So the GoFundMe Border Wall effort falls apart, but Brian Kolfage or whoever he is says, "Well looks like we're not getting our border wall, but in the spirit of the season, if anyone wants to keep their donations, I'll give it all to my new cause, Disabled Veterans with Puppies?"

Or are GoFundMe Accounts cancelled once the original "cause" is cancelled, and that's it?

Problem is, there seems to be so little accounting as for actual GFM monies that unless a cause is specifically found to be fraudulent, it all goes into a big black hole.
