The last US Govt shutdown cost The US $24 billion.........

Numbers like that mean very little to the average American so.... A better way to illustrate.... The median cost of a brand new high school in the US in 2014 was $45 million. So the 2013 Republic Party Shutdown cost us 533 brand new, paid for high schools. Read that US spends $7.8 billion per year building new high schools. So the Republic Party 2013 Shutdown would have paid for every new high school built in The US for 3 years.

So go ahead Republic Party, shut her down. That party hates education anyway so maybe that's their motive.

My point is however, The Dem Party leadership needs to point out what a huge loss and waste a shutdown is.
