Ro Khanna (D): I am glad @realDonaldTrump is withdrawing troops from Syria

I am glad @realDonaldTrump is withdrawing troops from Syria. Congress never authorized the intervention. The US must now use our leverage with Turkey to oppose violence against the Kurds and seek an overdue cease fire and negotiated solution.

Ted Lieu (D): My statement supporting decision by @realDonaldTrump to withdraw US troops from Syria.

My statement supporting decision by @realDonaldTrump to withdraw US troops from Syria. It was wrong when the Obama Administration took part in unauthorized war actions in Syria without a strategy. It was wrong for the Trump Administration to continue it.

I doubt Don gives 2 shits about the Kurds. Probably doesn't even know they exist. When they're mentioned he probably thinks cheese.

$20 says that's the sole reason why Trump thought they were "defeated"....because Fox & Friends doesn't talk about them much these days.

I'm not even kidding.

Syrians who we had promised to help, they will be slaughtered. I am glad we are leaving, but there needs to be a plan.

"Use our leverage with Turkey to oppose violence" is the most cringe worthy naivete since "peace in our times".
