Irony time, as we study the master of negotiation? Mr. Art of the Deal was about to be presented with an offer by Schumer and Pelosi, when they accepted Trump's invitation to come negotiate. Probably something like a clean fix for DACA, immigrant kids and Obamacare, in exchange for a first billlion dollars on a wall. But Two Scoops did an ambush, keeping reporters and cameras in the room, making it a spectacle... that he lost in every possible way.

Same with his phone call a few days ago with Turkish President Erdogan, which ended with DT shouting "You know what? You can have it. I am out of there!" Meaning he, personally, was walking out of Syria and taking "his" army with him. Exactly what Putin and Erdogan wanted, all along.

Look at the wording. So much like the very words when he walked out of his deal with Merv Griffin, decades ago, only then he was the winner. And now the pattern's a habit that everyone has sussed, and he never wins.

The other pattern you'll always see. When negotiating, first BREAK something the other party already has, that they value. (e.g. attack the DACA kids, despite bipartisan agreement to leave them be.) Then let THAT be the thing you'll concede, in exchange for all your demands. It is evil, but it worked in real estate. And it has not worked for him once in public life. Not once.
