I have a gummint issued computer that crapped out on Thursday. I cannot do anything without that laptop-- security concerns and bureaucracy say so.
Ordinarily, they could have shipped me a new one to get here on Saturday, but with the shutdown looming, they pretty much shut down. So, I lost 3 days work in this pay period.
They may have shipped the new laptop, and I may get it on Monday or Wednesday, but the deadline (at this point) is Wednesday, and it looks like we'll still be shut down.
Now, it is largely my fault that I waited this close to the end to finish the jobs. I did have from the beginning of the month, and I could have had it all done by last week, so I'll take the hit for sitting on my ass for two weeks.
But, I'm still going to blame the the Tangerine Turdlapper in Washington.

Here's the fun part, though-- we do a dozen or so surveys, some of which are Census/Commerce Dept authorized, and others which are contracted from other Federal departments. Since Commerce is mostly closed down we can't work on those, but we can work on others for Justice and some other departments that contract with us and are open.
