He's having his guys dig for blackmail material on top Dems to force them to give him his $5 billion for his wall. But he can't find anything. The days of Al Franken and et al are gone. No sex scandals, no financial improprieties, no favors owed to bipartisan donors.

He's stuck.

Russian kompromat from RNC hax are shoring up the complicity of the treason caucus of the GOP, but a bunch of them are leaving office and we will likely learn of (some of) their interactions with Russia as the investigation centers around matters of national security. I say “some of” because the option to keep their suspect conduct hidden from the American people is the leverage the US investigators have to obtain their cooperation.

Mueller’s investigation may or may not be coming to an end, but it has prompted potentially persisting investigations, about which we still know n3xt to nothing (save their existence). As the pressure increases and Teump flails to obstruct, we are approaching the endgame, imho.

The most notably absent component of this process is the American delivery of a proportional response to Russian hacking.

And that response is in abeyance, awaiting a new C-in-C. But it will be decisive and very American in character.
