So the court is just saying they will review the case and letting the company know they don't have to comply until the court rules.

It's obviously an important case, though. We'll find out eventually.

This is just a pause to allow the Court to look at this.

There is no requirement for the Court to hear this case. A very small percentage of petitions to SOCTUS are heard. My bet is the petition will not be heard and the stay dissolved.

That sort of thing is pretty normal. But let's have a mass freakout over mundane procedure.

It may be the bank in Cyprus that was laundering money?

Wilbur Ross, present Secretary of Commerce, was a VP at the bank, in charge of foreign loans, as I recall?

Very interesting.

Someone who is challenging a subpoena has a right to be heard in the district court and at the circuit court of appeal. If the circumstances involve some sort of novel, important issue, the Supreme Court should hear the challenge.

Would you rather that someone conduct a criminal prosecution on the basis of evidence obtained by this subpoena, and then find out on a post-conviction appeal that the Supreme Court considers the subpoena to be improper?

Because the alternative to a fully-vetted prosecution, is a failure to sustain a conviction.

Considering the intense secrecy and the fact that Mueller's prosecutor Ahmed who specializes in counterintelligence and foreign terrorism and extradition of foreign criminals/witness is involved, this must be an investigation of great importance to national security.
