I worked for the Federal Government for 34 years. I went through several shutdowns.

It would be very difficult to find a Federal employee who will go without pay unless the wall is built.

After reading comments and listening ever so briefly this AM,talk about stupid. Yes,there are a hand full of people who believe the crap about people enjoying have unpaid time off.

Maybe Trump's verbiage will turn his so called fans against him.

Always remember a statement from a very wise Business Owner many decades ago,"mess with a workers paycheck and I may as well lock the doors",and that was during Union Contract Talks in 1970. When this Gentleman left the Employer Group, every thing changed to mess with the pay checks and Management by disruption .

This is Trump's business style, keep the hostility going at any cost. He could give a rats ass about who or whom gets hurt.

I am not giving up my paycheck. What is sad, when they go back to work, if Congress fund their time off as a lum sum, they be pushed into a higher tax bracket. Lucky my job does not fall under the partial shutdown and my family will get paid bi-weekly.
