Where is the justice for Fallon Smart?

Fallon Smart was a 15 year-old high school sophomore. Abdulrahman Samir Noorah, a 21 year-old Saudi student at Portland State University illegally swerved his gold Lexus on busy Hawthorne Blvd. In Portland, hitting Smart at 55-60 miles per hour. He was charged with 1st Degree Manslaughter, and faced a possible ten year sentence. Bail was set at $1 Million.

The Saudi Consulate retained counsel, and put up $100,000 to post bond. Noorah was considered a flight risk, but released with an ankle bracelet. In June, 2017, Noorah was met in front of his house by a GMC Yukon, wher he was taken to a local gravel quarry. His ankle bracelet was removed, and he vanished.

In July, 2018, the Saudi government notified the Department of Homeland Security that Noorah has been returned to Saudi Arabia and had been there since seven days after his escape.

Speculation by Federal Marshalls indicate that the Saudi government provided him a new identity and passport. Travel out of the US was probably on a private carrier.

Without too much digging, The Oregonian has discovered two more cases where the Saudi Conslate aided the release and escape for Saudis accused of felonies.

Fallon Smart should not have died in a crosswalk on Portland street. Alduraham Noorah should have faced criminal and civil consequences for his reckless act.

Without an extradition treaty, Saudi can act with impunity, while being aided and abetted by their tyrannical royal family. THIS is the price we pay for our addiction to oil. The Saudi royals have been in a criminal conspiracy with the world's ultra-rich captains of fossil fuel.

Their economic stranglehold has now let a killer to walk free. I did not know Fallon Smart, but she was a neighbor. Her parents grief is amplified by the cold-hearted actions of the Saudi royal family.

Who speaks for Fallon Smart?

I would deem any Saudi national accused of anything more serious than a parking ticket to be a flight risk and deny bail.

This should be routine.

The US had made it perfectly clear through their actions that no politician is going to take action against SA no matter what they do.

They need us more than we need them. I wonder how much kompromat has prevented a treaty in the past.

ever since we funded their oil infrastructure in '75 and they agreed to not shut the taps off, they've had us by the short and curlies ever since.
