During a 2004 panel at the Museum of Television and Radio, in Los Angeles, Trump claimed that every network had tried to get him to do a reality show, but he wasnt interested: I dont want to have cameras all over my office, dealing with contractors, politicians, mobsters, and everyone else I have to deal with in my business. You know, mobsters dont like, as theyre talking to me, having cameras all over the room. It would play well on television, but it doesnt play well with them.
From this very good article about Mark Burnett

where the idle rich neighbor gets Tony to his golf club and the golfing friends are all gaga over him being a mobster
( he doesn't realize they know, at first) so they ask all these nosy questions while he slowly figures out why they are asking,
Of course, he is not welcome to actually join their WASP club.

impression that you have to do business with the mob if you do business in New York or New Jersey.

They're all gangsters if it will make them a nickle.

You can't get much more married to the mob than that!
