I have not listened to the radio in years. Stopped my Newspaper years ago, can only stand local news on TV for 15 minutes. Unless there is a major storm brewing.

I listen to CD’s in the car,get storm alerts on my cell phone.

34. When I worked, I'd listen to Public Radio...

which has talk shows on it. Also a great funny program called "Wait, Wait. Don't Tell Me."

I also listened to music. I NEVER listened to talk radio, because that market is cornered by rightwing hatemongers.

Now that I'm retired, I sometimes listen to PODCASTS. I get them on the streaming app TUNEIN (where I can also streaming MSNBC, CNN. & other cable channels LIVE, for free). Preet Baharara has a podcast show that is excellent. And the comedy program "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" is also on TUNEIN as a podcast.

Did you know that Rachel Maddow has a PODCAST SHOW? It's separate from her msnbc show. It's for a limited time, I think. It's called The Bagman or something like that. I haven't listened to it yet.

I still listen to public radio in the car, but I no longer commute, so I'm not in the car long enough for it to matter.

Honestly I am addicted to my IPad, now a mini and new IPhone. Not sure I would ccomplish anything if I tried to listen to the radio.

My CD’s take me away from all the bad news that I can do little about. I could handle NPR but need the break.

The TV stays on,silent in the background while I play Slingo.
