After being blocked, evangelist Franklin Graham claims Facebook 'is censoring free speech'

Franklin Graham, the son of the evangelist Billy Graham and a staunch supporter of President Trump, said Sunday that he accepts “Facebook’s apology” after the platform blocked him for 24 hours last week.

On Friday, Graham wrote on Facebook that his account had been temporarily blocked over a 2016 post about North Carolina’s House Bill 2, more commonly known as the “bathroom bill.” According to Graham, Facebook said the post went against its “community standards on hate speech.”

Those responsible for blocking his account were trying to police his speech, he said.

“Facebook is trying to define the truth,” Graham wrote. He added, “Actually, Facebook is censoring free speech. The free exchange of ideas is part of our country’s DNA.”

There is no "free speech" on a private website, moron.

Just like DU could say that discussion of religion is forbidden, facebook can do whatever the fuck the please- their house, their rules. No "free speech" involved.

Idiot.

1. Social media is a privilege, not a right.

2. If you say something hateful, you're going to lose your privilege. So don't say anything hateful and you won't lose it.

3. Hate has a conservative bias to it.

So please go scream about how you're being "censored" when the rules are there for you, but since they are longer than the Declaration Of Independence, you probably didn't read them.

Because, regrettably, your free speech is 100% intact. It’s those pesky consequences you right-wing assholes just don’t get.

Am I free to tell my boss to fuck off? Yes! Will I get fired! Yes! Did my boss block my free speech? No! I’m jobless (consequence), but I’m not in prison for expressing my opinion (freedom of speech). GET IT?

If Facebook would have blocked Planned Parenthood, the Satanic Temple or Hillary Clinton, there would be a post on Franklin's page thanking God for "helping Facebook to gain Christian values" (or some damn thing) and asking for donations to Help Spread The Good News of Jesus' Coming.

Because they blocked Franklin Graham, they did a very bad thing.

13. So is the right to privacy, but you insist on creeping around inside women's wombs.
