If we had single payer in this country, would you be likely to try your hand at starting a small business?

(35,211 posts)but if we had single payer, I'd be a bazillion times more likely to work for a small business. I'm pretty certain that a lot of professionals in corporations would too. That's the big equalizer for single payer in the business world: easier to attract talent and easier to build a small business.

(9,000 posts)my business if it wasn't for the health insurance through my wife's boss. We were lucky and it turned out that we don't pay anything for it.
You have to be a risk taker to start a business, but what level of risk. I wouldn't risk my kids not having coverage.
At the end of the day I believe you would see a lot of people start their own businesses if they didn't have to worry about health care.
