The Extreme Conservative republicans are the first to demonize Islam as a whole instead of vilifying only the most extreme aspects of those who practice that religion.
All the while the similarities to the beliefs of the extreme right in so many ways mirror the beliefs of extreme Islam.
A belief that women are lesser beings than men.
A belief that THEIR religion should be the ONLY religion taught.
A belief that THEIR religion should be fully intertwined with the politics of their countries..
Starting to sound familiar????
AND NOW we have Mr. Akin,I will not use his title as it is a title of respect,of which for him I have none.
Truly how far away is his belief from the beliefs that extreme Muslims have about rape???

(33,688 posts)are barking-at-the-moon nuts when looked at holistically. If you want to follow the things (supposedly) said by Jesus, fine and good on ya. The same message has been expressed by many philosophers over countless ages. There's nothing exclusively christian about it.

Makes sense when you realize whenever you hear a RWer talking, they're lying...even to themselves at times.
