GOP gossiping that Akin will drop out so they can pretend they don't agree with him

GOP gossiping that Akin will drop out so they can pretend they don't agree with him

Bwahahahahahahahah:

Breaking: Senior GOP official: Akin advisors making preparations for a withdrawal tomorrow.

Of course, Todd Akin himself announced just an hour ago that he will not be dropping out of the race. And why should he? He explained that he meant to say "forcible rape" instead of "legitimate rape," which brings him in line with the rest of the Republican Party, including Paul Ryan. Does the party really intend to force out Paul Ryan and every other Republican who supported redefining rape to close "loopholes" that victims of not-really-rape have been exploiting on the taxpayers' dime?

Obviously, Republicans would like to force Akin to take the fall for this whole mess so they can go back to completely agreeing with him but without having to say so out loud.

Politicians frequently say they won't drop out in the face of a scandal but then they do.
