Operation Mockingbird is now ...

But who knows that Mockingbird has been changed to? That's one of those secrets known by those who get the funding, and by those who provide it.

"Premier Election Services"? Somehow it sounds more innocuous.

The same thing will happen to him that happens to all congressional reps and senators who have stupid beliefs. Nothing.

He's like a big magnifying glass on one of the ugliest aspects of the Grand Ol' Perverts. R&R have been doing their best to gloss everything over and make it look shiny and inviting. Akin just blew their whole illusion away.

It's too bad- a gift like this is near impossible to get in election season. I hope he stays in until the bitter end and is soundly defeated...after he's brought the whole crew of them down with him

13. He won't. He's toast, and I think if he stays in even the Repubs will make sure he can't win.

They're already 'holding on to the money' he was supposed to get from the senatorial campaign committee. So that's Step One in my theory.

While they probably secretly (or even not so secretly) agree with this clown, he's just too much of a magnet for bad press now. They know they can't afford to have him hanging around in the long-term.

EDIT: This is assuming the Repubs are smart politicians. Maybe not smart PEOPLE, but smart politicians. Had to add that qualifier.

15. It is possible he could still win. But not nearly as much as it was before.

His funding is down, his surrogates will not be as willing to defend his words, and he's drawn enough negative attention to himself to bump up McCaskill's money by a lot.

However, if he stays in the race he has the real ability to do major damage to the Republican party. Not just Romney and Ryan. I assure you in every state where a republican signed onto that bill their opposition is currently working to link them to Aiken in the publics eye.

So, yes, there's a much lower chance he could win, but it's still there. If he does choose to stay in the race the benefits far out weigh the negatives for the Democrats. No matter how his race ends up.
