(6,377 posts)He was literally about to sign the bill, then Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter and Fox & Friends told him he would be a loser if he did.

But who is to say that Ingraham, Coulter and Limbaugh are NOT getting talking points from the Kremlin as well?

(22,020 posts)Most likely directly from Putin.

(86,782 posts)I keep telling you, it's soccer ball that tells him what to do. The talking heads are just parroting what the instructions are so we will blame them instead... I'm sure they are well compensated for the treason.

3. It is about trying to nullify the midterm election
If the Republicans can compel the house to pass legislation they would otherwise oppose, the election was nearly irrelevant

(2,597 posts)But the second he heard that the shutdown was impeding the FBI's efforts, he was all over it. I believe he's going to pull this every time he gets thwarted. Right now, he's determined to highjack the airwaves on the 29th to deliver his fucking State of the (Dis)Union speech. He's attempting as I type this to force his way onto the House floor and nothing surprises me any longer where he's concerned. He needs to be removed. Any method works for me. It's a shame his mother didn't suffocate him at birth.

(47 posts)Ever since the shut down, I have been saying just what you said. He has an ulterior motive, as long as he wins, he does not care who suffers.

(14,565 posts)Trump will stoop to absolutely anything to remain in power. We cannot afford to be dense enough to look at 2020 from a traditional lens. The GOP is undertaking lowlife tactics right now that Rachel Maddow will be dissecting in mid 2021. That doesn't do us a damn bit of good.

(37,648 posts)But since he wasn't going to do it until Ann Coulter told him to, I suspect that slowing the investigation down is just a perk and could be the reason it's going on so long.
