"SNIP....

“White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney has pressed agency leaders to provide him with a list of the highest-impact programs that will be jeopardized if the shutdown continues into March and April,” the Washington Post reports.

“Mulvaney wants the list no later than Friday… and it’s the firmest evidence to date that the White House is preparing for a lengthy funding lapse that could have snowballing consequences for the economy and government services.”

Given these idiots' inability to forsee anything (including being surprised by MLK Day), simplest explanation is they are just scrambling to try and figure out what crisis they are going to face next, since reality is biting them in the ass on a daily basis.

Never look to complexity with these guys when basic stupidity is more likely.

fat chance. The answer is no. We still have to pay taxes regardless.

If this shutdown goes into March, we as a country, are screwed.

Isn't there already a backlog at the IRS? Maybe they will just give everyone until next December to file.
