I'm wondering

If Mitch McConnell won't bring a vote to the floor if the president won't sign it ....

Then why do we even have a Congress, if every bill needs presidential approval first?

Isn't that what's called a Dictatorship?

This is infuriating!

So McConnell won't even bring it to a vote .... since if it were vetoed, it could possibly be overridden.

He has way too much power.

into defeating him. He may have miscalculated how much this shutdown is going to affect the 2020 race. Perhaps he has to run for re-election in 2020, now with this shutdown baggage still in peoples' memory.
