Stone accuses Mueller of 'Gestapo tactics'

Roger Stone complained Sunday that his arrest by FBI agents early Friday morning was an excessive show of force following his indictment by special counsel Robert Mueller, accusing the law enforcement officers and the top Russia investigator of “Gestapo tactics” intended to “poison the jury pool.”

“I’m 66 years old. I don’t own a firearm. I have no prior criminal record. My passport has expired. The special counsel’s office is well aware of the fact that I’m represented,” the longtime Republican operative and political provocateur told host George Stephanopoulos during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.”

“They could simply have called my lawyers and I would have turned myself in,” Stone said. “It’s an expensive show of force to try to depict me as Public Enemy No. 1. The OG. It’s an attempt to poison the jury pool. These are Gestapo tactics.”

Stone’s arrest at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., followed a seven-count indictment from Mueller’s office alleging Stone misled lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee about his efforts to communicate with WikiLeaks and his contacts with the Trump campaign. The special counsel also accused Stone of attempting to intimidate another witness: radio host Randy Credico, who was in contact with WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange in 2016.

Your strategy of insulting the prosecutor is rather unwise.

But then, so are you.

Loser.

Traitor.

I'm from Germany. My brother used to work in an office in an old building that was an NSDAP-Office in the Third Reich. The basement is nowadays used for storing the file-cabinets.

Some of the cells still have blood-splatters on the walls.

THAT is Gestapo-tactics.

Unless Mueller starts actually beating Stone to bloody pulp in a dungeon, it doesn't count as Gestapo-tactics.
