He seems to have dropped off the national radar rather abruptly considering he has 30 indictments against him, all in the name of the orange shitstain. The last article I could find was from November 18th.
Do ya think maybe, just possibly they want to make him go away because he represents the base?

(17,984 posts)BP, it was literally a shrine to the Rump! It was a testament to what sort of person he appeals to. Lives in a van. Idolizes the Rump. Makes bombs in said van to send to the Rump's political opponents. Personally, I think his face should be plastered all over billboards.

(51,585 posts)BT (before tRump) a person trying to kill politicians, etc wouldn't have fallen off the front page in a nanosecond only to be replaced by the next manufactured distraction/disaster via tweet. If we had any other person as POTUS that attempted murderer would be known and remembered by everyone. How many really horrendous things have disappeared due to the 24/7 news drops? Tons! This country is very different than it was only three years ago. I doubt we will ever be as respected as a nation in my lifetime.

(1,606 posts)NOTHING gets traction for more than a few days before it is subsumed by a new tidal wave of outrage, and the what momentarily gripped our attention is smothered from consciousness. What we are experiencing must fit the definition of existential crisis.
Yes, this is the face of the GOP base. Good on ya for reminding us!

(17,984 posts)Does the MSM manipulate the news because it benefits them or because it's the way their audience wants it? And I ask that in all seriousness because it gets at an important issue: We manufactured this crisis. Sure, we can blame Russia for playing their part, but if we really had it together, the Rump would never have happened. So are we hell bent on feeding our existential crisis? Is there something in our collective psyche that yearns for the terror of being constantly on the verge of destruction? We have climbed to the top of the Sears Tower, are looking out over all of Manhattan, and our predominant impulse is to jump.

(17,984 posts)Parkland lasted quite a while. Florida? Las Vegas?
The real question is whether or not his trial will receive any publicity.

(62,444 posts)Hes being held without bail for a trial prelimarily scheduled for July.
I would imagine that hes not up to much, and I would further imagine the prosecution would not prefer a lot of prejudicial coverage before trial.

(17,984 posts)if the MSM were willing to analyze the connection between MAGAbomber and the Rump's rhetoric. Why, I remember a time when dozens of shrinks would analyze the Rump and declare that he was insane. Those analyses would be published. Granted, the largely went ignored. So have we thrown up our hands and resigned ourselves to this being the new norm?

(62,444 posts)You want him found not guilty by reason of insanity? Not sure I understand why, but okay.

(17,984 posts)False dilemma. Discussing the ramifications of Rump's rhetoric on his base does not guarantee that people like this will be acquitted.

(6,280 posts).... in your thread burying the story, and generally not doing their job because they're not interested in homegrown terrorism, it occurs to me that Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, Chris Hayes, and Lawrence O'Donnell etc, are members of the MSM. It begs the question as to whether they are burying the story, not interested in homegrown terrorism, or is there another legitimate reason they are doing the same thing other members of the MSM are doing? If someone in this thread was face-to-face with Rachel Maddow and asked her why she isn't still covering this, I'd like to know what they think her answer would be. I actually think it is probably loss of Interest, coupled with being overwhelmed by the daily cascade of drumpshit rolling out of the White House. That's just my opinion.

(14,530 posts)with the crazy. I am at the point where old info is getting stored away to make room for all the new stuff.
What used to be Breaking news and reported on quite a bit is old news in 4 hours.
The 1st headline I saw yesterday was about 4 cops getting shot in a drug raid in Houston. Last night, I was wondering how the cops were doing and what happened. I had to search for it to find out more about it, it was off my feed completely. I didn't even see it posted here.
