There's Something Happening Here Y'all

The GOP has ridden the Trump wagon as far and as long as they could. The rats are jumping off ASAP.

Ann Coulter is lambasting Donald J Trump calling him "a lazy and incompetent lunatic". Coulter is trying to be the first Trump synchophant to publicly break with Trump. She can see where hes headed. So she'll keep turning the screw on the hapless Trump, conjure up worse and worse epithets, meaner and more damning until she will finally use the foulest slander she's capable of. She'll call him a Democrat. Maybe even a liberal.

Of course she's just positioning herself so that in a year or two she she can tell the Rubes, her fans, "See, I told you so. I never supported Trump". A lie of course, and easily disproven. But remember THESE ARE REPUBLICANS SHE WILL BE APPEALING TO AND TRUTH PLAYS NO PART TO REPUBLICANS.

Mitch McConnell hammered in Donald J. Trump yesterday in the well of the Senate. And the Republican Senators walloped Donald J. Trump passing a Bill that blistered his propsed withdraw from Syria and Afghanistan. And accused Trump of not heeding his own intelligence experts.

3 days ago Trump appointees Dan Coats, Gina Haspel and Cristopher Wray all but called Donald J. Trump a delusional halfwit and liar during a live broadcast of their testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Their testimony stands in stark contrast to everything Donald J. Trump has ever said, or Tweeted, in regards to Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and ISIS. If your scoring at home they just pooh-poohed all over 95% of Donald J Trump's entire foreign policy in a little over two hours live and on TeeVee. Seeing it happen in real time took my breath away.

The Republicans haven't done anything like any of this regarding Donald J Trump.

We are 12 months from the first 2020 Primary.

The GOP has ridden the Trump wagon for as far and as long as they dare. The rats are jumping off. Trump is finished and the republicans know it.

I wasn't sure this would ever happen. And no republican will ever admit that it is happening. No, they will never publicly announce this break. Republican hopefuls will attempt a neat trick. To continue to proclaim Trump's greatness to the Deplorables while also distancing themselves from Trump for Independent and centrist voters.

They cant piss off his base as they will need EVERY Trump loving Deplorable vote they can get. So long as they never come right out and bad mouth Trump overtly, the Deplorable base will let them get them get away with doing it. They are all Republicans after all. The GOP hopefuls and the Deplorable base, they can convince themselves, and each other, of anyrhing.

I think over the next few weeks you will see repubs rallying to support Trump. They feel the worst shots have been taken at him and they will turn their attention to demonizing Democrats.

on what they say.

Like not giving him his wall even when they were in the majority for two years.

They will support any tax cuts for themselves though, which the House may block now. And they will support Right leaning appointments to the Supreme Court if they get a chance, but all of that is beneficial to them personally.

We’ll certainly see what they do and whether it fits with what they say.

Trump says his top intel chiefs groveled before him after contradicting him during Senate testimony

Brad Reed

01 FEB 2019 AT 06:48 ET

In a major interview with the New York Times, President Donald Trump claimed that both CIA Director Gina Haspel and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats groveled before him after he chewed them out for contradicting him during Senate testimony.

While delivering an intelligence briefing to the Senate, Coats said that North Korea had not moved to dismantle its nuclear program, that ISIS had not been defeated, and that Russia was likely to try interfering with American elections again in 2020 — all in direct contradiction to statements made by Trump.

However, Trump claims that both Haspel and Coats swore they didn’t contradict him and tried to blame the media for any confusion.

“I said, ‘What is that all about? Second of all, third of all, you know how well we’re doing with North Korea, what’s that?'” Trump said. “They said, ‘Sir, our testimony was totally mischaracterized.’ I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ And when you read their testimony and you read their statements, it was mischaracterized by the media.”

but IMO next week we'll be deluged with "Wow! That was presidential!" after his SOTU ramble-fest. I'm guessing he'll somehow manage to avoid pulling his pants down, defecating on the podium and flinging his feces at the crowd, which will mean he "finally became a true President."

Wait for it. It's coming, and it'll start with him and his sycophants only to be picked up by other media outlets as "objective reporting."

When it is critical, they will still support Trump. Repukes are a "party before country" crowd.
