(11,802 posts)Republican strategist. Period. That fucker helped build the base that got us into this mess. And, as expected the first chance he gets to fuck the Democratic party he takes. As if I'm shocked. I give two flying fucks if he badmouths Trump. He's got decades of experience fucking us over. And because he's on MSNBC saying things we like, I'm supposed to believe he's turned a new leaf? Fuck that asshole. Wallace too. They can both cry and wail about what's happened to their party till the cows come home. They built it. As far as I'm concerned they can both take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.

(1,325 posts)I'm with you on this one and I'm sure many more of us feel the same. I am stunned however, by the number of so-called liberal democrats that accept these repukes as allies simply because they run down herr drumpf or make appearances on MSNBC? All of them, and I mean all of them deserve only our opprobrium and ridicule. I feel queasy when I read statements on this sight about how Kristol, Will, Schmidt, and Wallace along with others are doing a great job and sound real smart. It's easy to detest the likes of Congress critters like Steve King or Louie Gohmert. What's truly insidious is watching these creeps slither into our tent while pretending to be on our side. An enemy of my enemy is not automatically my friend. Screw these assholes - they won't be on our side in due time. Why do so many democrats fall for these people?
Glamrock
(11,802 posts)Is these same folks will kick the shit out of any Democrat or Independant who has any criticism of our party, are gaga over these fuckers who actively worked against us for decades. I have no problem with disagreement about said criticism. But the pure unadulterated hatred for them, while embracing Republican strategists? WTF man?

(10,252 posts)and I was completely UNDERwhelmed. Nothing but platitudes about how Dems and GOP should work together. Since when did the GOP ever want to work with Dems to help people in real life?
The GOP has only 2 things to offer us -- fear and loathing. And independents are fools to think otherwise.

Used to be I thought there were some reps with morals, standards, decency. Now I just don't care enough to talk to one of them to try to understand how they actively worked to undermine democracy and this country.

(37,163 posts)...but the people in charge of hiring at MSNBC do have a tendency to have low standards for conservative commentators. Witness Hugh Hewitt, the fact that Schmidt was hired in the first place, and the frequent appearances by Bill Kristol.

Schultz is a vane idiot. His argument for being an independent tells that he has poor judgement.

(17,865 posts)There is one thing I hope all Democrats (and many Independents) should agree on and that is we must get that monster out of the Oval Office. That is fueling most of the reaction. Also he is another unqualified plutocrat, but that is another thing.
Actually I think we will end up meeting someplace in the middle on taxes. The rates need to be higher, and the SS cap needs to be removed. Also some structure for the wealth tax. Just not at the rates that I am hearing.

This both sides are the same crap pushed by the Russians and swallowed hook, line and sinker by Jill Stein backers and backers of certain other candidates played a huge role in getting the Rump into the White House. (40,231 posts)Another thing that deserves mentioning is back in 2008, Schmidt was initially dazzled by Sarah Palin. He sold her to McCain. Schmidt took responsibility for that boondoggle and most have given him a pass.
He seemed to present credibility with his horror over Trump. But, now he jumped on a ship that is sinking before it was even in the water.
Schmidt likes to talk in a bombastic voice that makes it seem like he has the smarts. Well, maybe not. His judgement is officially suspect.

(118,379 posts)To know Schultz is to dislike Schultz, if we can believe the polling:
He's far underwater with everybody: down 27 with the I, down 39 with the R, and down 46 with the D
Only 4% of the folk, who've heard of him, like him -- regardless of whether they're D, R, or I
4% won't win ANY election, unless he has a major plan for deflating voter turnout
Roy Rolling
(6,941 posts)He is surprised at Democrats' reaction.
Why would Democrats give a rat's ass what someone of another political party does? If he expected Democrats to cheer an Independent announcing a candidacy for president he knows nothing about politics. Seriously.
