President Trump calls for investigations into him to end during State of the Union -- just like Nixon

President Trump calls for investigations into him to end during State of the Union — just like Nixon did

Do as Nixon says, but maybe not as he does.

Echoing President Nixon’s 1974 State of the Union, President Trump called for an end of investigations into him during Tuesday night’s address.

“An economic miracle is taking place in the United States and the only thing that can stop it are foolish wars, politics or ridiculous partisan investigations,” Trump said during his State of the Union speech.

“If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn't work that way.”

A direct dig at House Democrats and Robert Mueller, Trump clearly signified his disapproval of the probes into the 2016 election, which are still ongoing.

More than 40 years ago, Nixon lashed out similarly amid an investigation into the Watergate scandal and the cover-up of the break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters.

"I believe the time has come to bring that investigation and the other investigations of this matter to an end,” he said in his 1974 address.” One year of Watergate is enough."

Two weeks later, the House overwhelmingly voted to give the Judiciary Committee the authority to look into impeachment charges.

You aren't nearly as great as you think you are. All of your success is in your head. You will still continue to be investigated because you are nothing more than a low-life, greedy, corrupt, slimy crook. I hope you spend the rest of your miserable life in prison.

They can stop serially investigating Hillary Clinton any fucking time now. Those things are definitely ridiculous partisan investigations.

On the other hand, the investigations Trump is being subjected to are completely justifiable and not ridiculous at all. We need more of them.

He is so famous for accusing others of doing exactly what he is doing, and surrounding himself with SO MANY CRIMINALS - its hysterical to me that he can actually get up there and say that he should not be investigated! He just cannot let it go because he is used to being able to BULLY his way out of every horrific act that he has been a part of (and there is so much proof) via out lawyer-ing anyone who has "dared" to try to make him be honest. It is not going to be done that way this time - he got what he wanted, he is (shudder) pResident, and so must be held accountable for his actions.

May the LIGHT OF JUSTICE prevail for ALL who have suffered because of his actions and intentions.

Karma is Damned Near Instant Now.
