CBS Should be REQURIED to take down that BS Poll and run a full retraction

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/state-of-the-union-2019-most-viewers-approved-of-trumps-sotu-address-cbs-news-poll

Yes! I say CBS should be REQUIRED to take that bogus, bullshit poll down...AND run a full screen retraction.

It's just fucking obvious what they are trying to do.

Look at how "HUGE" the graphic is that shows "76% Approve of President's Speech".

They are trying to use this screaming headline to make it appear as if his "speech" was a "resounding success" with the American people.

There is no fucking "gray" area here.

There is no, "well, we're just reporting the facts" bullshit here.

THIS IS NOTHING BUT A FUCKING BLATANT and OBVIOUS ATTEMPT TO SKEW PUBLIC OPINION IN THIS AMPHIBIAN TURDS FAVOR

CBS' Advertisers NEED TO HEAR FROM US

If not, it's going to be 2016 Media Manipulation all over again.

Now when you say “REQUIRED to take it down”, that implies that there is some authority with the power to enforce this. Not public pressure, not an internal decision, but some external authority with the power to enforce this. Let’s just hope that authority is on our side.

I mean it obviously doesn't matter, because we don't consume it.

So what if a screaming headline of a poll states that 76% Approve of Shit for Brains policies? Maybe they can throw a little "footnote" in there that we can look up in the Appendix that shows the poll skewed overwhelmingly in the president's favor.

But you're right. We should just ignore it. It's not like bogus shit like this impacted the 2016 election or something.

Leslie Moonves on Donald Trump: "It May Not Be Good for America, but It's Damn Good for CBS"
11:26 AM PST 2/29/2016 by Paul Bond

Leslie Moonves can appreciate a Donald Trump candidacy.

Not that the CBS executive chairman and CEO might vote for the Republican presidential frontrunner, but he likes the ad money Trump and his competitors are bringing to the network.

"It may not be good for America, but it's damn good for CBS," he said of the presidential race.

Moonves called the campaign for president a "circus" full of "bomb throwing," and he hopes it continues.

CBS is mostly watched by seniors. I have no specifics to back that up, but their programming and the types of news pieces they do seem to me to be clearly directed towards older people, of which I am one. The advertising on their news shows also seems to be directed at seniors. Also keep in mind that seniors are more likely to get their news the old fashioned way, still watching the 6 PM dinnertime 15 minutes of news on either CBS, ABC or NBC. Younger people are less likely to watch a news program and are less likely to get their news from a TV news cast.

So, I am not surprised at all that CBS would promote this sort of headline. However, I don't think it's something to panic about.

I haven't seen or searched for this poll either. But I saw a poll on this website asking if we would watch the SOTU. When I looked there were about 250 votes of "NO" to 12 votes of "YES". I liked your response and I agree with it fully. I merely referred to our website's poll, because it supports what you wrote.

James Truslow Adams was an American writer and historian. He lived through two world wars (died in 1949). A quote attributed to him is:“The freedom now desired by many is not freedom to do and dare but freedom from care and worry.” (Search on Bing)

It may have been close to hundred years ago when he said that. But I venture to say that even today about 80% of Americans feel the same way. Unfortunately, those 80% are not the people you read about in the polls.

Without doubt, the president is a populist. He is capable of sweet-talk (when he is not tweeting). Whether you watched his speech or didn't, the Washington Post published a point by point analysis of his speech. I found that Washington Post article on the internet searching Bing>News>Fact Check. (Fact-Checking President Trump's 2019 State of the Union Address) Many voters read this kind of analysis to make a decision on what was said and how good was it in fact.
