Virginia Lt. Gov Fairfax Reportedly Says ‘F*ck That Bitch’ in Private Meeting on Accuser; Staff Denies Story

by Ken Meyer | Feb 6th, 2019, 12:38 pm

Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax just released a new denial of the sexual assault charge that’s been raised against him, and it seems to come on the heels of emerging reports that he is privately disparaging his accuser, Dr. Vanessa Tyson.

The state government of Virginia has been under siege for the last few days due to a flurry of controversy surrounding their top officials. Tyson has accused Fairfax of assaulting her at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Massachusetts, Governor Ralph Northam is still under fire over the racially-charged picture from his med school yearbook profile, and now, Attorney General Mark Herring has admitted to his own instance of wearing blackface at a college party.

As Herring put out a statement to address the blackface matter, Fairfax posted a message of his own, denying the allegation again and saying “I cannot agree with the description of events that I know is not true.”

Interestingly, Fairfax’s statement came as NBC’s Geoff Bennett and Jonathan Allen were about to report on a private meeting the lieutenant governor held on Monday. According to the two reporters, Fairfax used part of this gathering to insult Tyson and said “f*ck that bitch” in reference to her.

did no one tell him the time for secrecy and misogyny is over? can VA Democrats stop with the unforced errors already?

Republican dirty tricks or not, they're making a play for the VA governorship, and at this rate they may well succeed.

I'm not talking about the accuser. I'm talking about the concerted efforts to make all of this an issue on the national stage again.

It's what Roger Stone and the GOP do very well. Get Democrats to fight among themselves very publicly.

I'm all for an investigation. It's these little stories like the one in the OP that are a problem.

In 2017, they fabricated one vote, to steal one Assembly seat, so they continue to hold the Gerrymandered legislature. Ratfucking is second nature to them.

If (EMPHASIS ON THE *IF*) I was wrongfully accused of sexual assault my language would be even more colorful behind closed doors, regardless of whether I was with polite company.

Secondly, the fact that Fairfax's circle of advisors are running to goddamned NBC News to blab out what was said in a closed-door meeting like a bunch of high school gossips is a much more distressing sign that his political bacon is in the frying pan...

his accuser seems credible to me

but since there were only 2 of them in the room, nothing is going to be proven either way

he lied in his original press conference about why the post didn't print her story so that makes him less credible in my eyes

But it's a big deal if the sexual encounter was indeed assault.

It comes down to: is she credible? At this point, to me, both seem credible. I'd hate to see Fairfax "Frankin'ed" over a misunderstanding over "enthusiasm" vs "reluctance". But, I'd hate to see a sexual predator elevated to higher office. Especially, a Democratic sexual predator.

It's a difficult situation, to say the least.

If Fairfax didn't do this, imagine the nightmare he's living watching his reputation and career get destroyed. If Dr. Tyson is telling the truth, this is a nightmare for her, as well, as she not only has to relive something painful but put the most intimate details of her life out in the public sphere.

And, if they're BOTH telling the truth as they know it, it is a tragedy for both of them...

Is she a primary source of this allegation? I am now very suspicious of this whole story... and I'm not sorry about it. I don't like being had and this is looking every bit like a a carefully orchestrated ratfuck and I'm not buying any of it without actual proof. We had a picture of Northam, or so it is implied, not sure it's actual proof but it seems that the court of public opinion is back on duty without a lot of interest in really finding the truth.

And your implying that I am calling anyone a liar (or liar, too) is trying to indicate that what I think has to fall in line with exactly what you think so you try to imply that I am saying something I am not.

Passions on some issues get in the way of seeking the truth at times. I think this is one of those times.

Tyson, a professor, alleges that Virginia lieutenant governor Fairfax forced her to perform oral sex. He says they had a "consensual encounter" and that she expressed no "discomfort." She says she cried, gagged and was in "obvious distress."

Is truth gender specific now? I don't like this issue at all and I am not ready to jump to conclusions without actual varifyable proof of one or the other being the victim or perp as it appears you demand.

I am a sexual assault survivor myself, was not believed when I reported, and I am very skeptical of all this court of public opinion on this issue because it smells of political ratfucking. You have your own standards for determining what you believe, and I have mine regardless of peer pressure.

I will be requiring better evidence on this one, thank you very much.

you can believe what you will, that's your choice and right. I require more than a blog argument over semantics to prove someone is or is not guilty of an accused crime. So it's guilty until proven innocent now?

I'm done arguing you point with you, we will not be changing our minds on this so what's the point of continuing to go any further? I said what I mean and that's that. Disagree all you want but I will not engage further on this one.

This type of crass and misogynistic language is not used by someone who has worked for top law firms (including Mueller's old firm) and is a former AUSA.
