I have ended up in a hotel room with someone else for purposes unrelated to sexual activity...

...and I would NEVER assume that a person who did end up in a hotel room must have assumed sexual activity.

NOR would I assume that a person who did end up in a hotel room for sexual activity didn't have the right to end that activity at any time in the future.

This debate is embarrassing.

None of us were in the room that night.

In this crazy world, while I neither want to believe that this particular politician did this, I also don't want to believe someone would deliberately make up an accusation.

But please... remember that whether or not this particular accusation is true, something similar enough to the accusation has likely happened to more than one person, perhaps even someone reading what you write.

It *is* possible to say there's not enough evidence, or that one feels the RW news joint that's digging up all this stuff certainly would have not have done so if the story didn't fit their agenda, without victim-blaming or slut-shaming.
