Kavanaugh gets confirmed despite a backlash - a woman's right to choose and maybe legal abortion are on the line.
IF Northam and Fairfax resign and possibly get replaced by Republicans- the progress Virginia was trying to make to fight potential curbing of a woman's right to choose by SCOTUS is on the line.
It's pretty much all a perfect storm for women's health issues at this point, and I don't know what to do about it, but it infuriates me.

(1,220 posts)Women only seem to "win" in cases like former Senator Franken or former Congressman Conyers or just about any other Democrat.
NEVER a pubican.
Like I said, kinda' odd. When women "win" it's always against a Democrat. Never a pubican.

(1,220 posts)Maybe we should stop forcing Democrats to resign. That paves the way for all those things that infuriate you. So, that's something we all can do about it.
Win first. Undo everything the traitors have done. Then clean house.

(27,808 posts)If Fairfax resigns, the outcome could harm women's health issues (at least if they end up being replaced be Republicans).
I don't seem to be making myself clear, but what I'm trying to get at is that a woman's right to choose is at stake, no matter what. All resignation paths by Northam and Fairfax could lead to a loss of abortion rights. Once again, we're being put into a Hobson's choice and it shouldn't be that way.
