One has a sense Donald Trump long lived in a world of his own creation where he felt he was immune to any oversight, accountability, or responsibility for his actions. That bubble has been dramatically popped with the Democratic control of the House, and we're seeing the results.

he knew it all.

Bankruptcy, failure, disapproval... Nothing bothered him because he always rationalized victory. Any deal that he blew up, or just didn't like, he could walk away from.

Alexanders, Trump Air, Plaza Hotel, Atlantic City and all the rest were "successes" in his mind because he managed to survive them. He even bragged that being the first casino owner in AC to go bankrupt showed his brilliance and prescience that he led the trend.

For first time in his life, he can't just walk away from a problem, and he is confused.

He's eventually going either to prison or Russia for the rest of his life. Unless his ticker finally gives out first, which I would give equal odds on with the other options, based on his diet and appearance, and the possibility that his buddy Vlad will decide to cut his losses at some point.

SNL figured it out.

"Getting elected President was the worst thing that ever happened to your dad," Mueller (De Niro) tells Eric Trump (Alex Moffat).

They live in their own reality were they are the only one that matters, and they are "NEVER" wrong. They do not feel accountable to anyone for anything. They lie, cheat, and slander others to get their way, and yes they think they are immune to the rules and laws that others follow. If confronted they deny everything and blame others. They play people against each other, and enjoy the chaos they cause.
